There's no place like home

Hey there!

You know how sometimes you just have one of those special weeks or holidays, that tend to linger on for a while after? Yeah, they're the best. And that's why I really wanted to make a post about it, although it's been almost a week since we came back and the summer is continuing to be... pretty awesome. But one thing at a time.

As someone who lives abroad, I know the feeling of homesickness all too well. Especially in the beginning when money was tight and I could only visit every now and then and had to suck it up when all I wanted was mom's chicken soup, dad's bear-like hugs and my sister's hilarious stories.

Ever since I graduated, the money's been better, I have more time and when the summer rolled around my boyfriend and I packed our suitcases and flew home to see my family, celebrate my 22nd birthday and spend a week in a place I come from and that means so much to me.

We were extremely lucky with the weather, had loads of fun and managed the perfect combination of relaxation and activity.

And to be perfectly honest - being happy is quite magical - it changes your outlook, makes you look better, sleep better, eat better, work harder and relax smarter. Therefore it's so important to find things, that make you happy and never overlook it, no matter how simple they sometimes might seem.

I'm not going to write a caption for each picture as I think they speak for themselves, but I hope you can see, how happy I am - I truly enjoyed every day, every meal, every drink, every talk and laughter.

Hope you all are having an amazing summer holidays and I'll talk to you soon!
